Enterprise M3’s bid to consolidate the region’s reputation as a hub for hi-tech sectors including gaming and space, is accelerating under its business growth programme.

With significant expertise in niche sectors, the Growth Hub is supporting businesses, from established global names to start-ups.

The turnover of the world’s largest wargaming specialist publisher, Cobham-based Slitherine,
increased from £6m to £8m in one year after the Growth Hub advised on their strategic aims, and their sales and marketing strategy.

A targeted business plan and practical advice, including a company health-check and HR support, were part of the package for In-Space Missions in Bordon.

The expertise that has been provided has been very practical, inciteful and is well matched to our needs as a small, growing business.

Susan Jason , Principal Engineer and Head of Outreach for In-Space

Guildford-based, CoinMode, a bitcoin-based payment system for the computer gaming industry, raised £547,460 investment through crowdfunding after the Growth hub revised their pitch documents and financial model.

Having someone who knows this area really well has been incredibly helpful and we really appreciate the help. As we come to the next phase of the company, we look forward to following up with the various recommended contacts.

Stuart Radforth , Coinmode CTO

Winchester-based tech security firm Telemetricor, credits the Growth Hub for helping it survive.

In the short time we have been on the Growth Hub programme, a tremendous amount has been achieved, much of it critical for Telemetricor Limited's survival particularly with regards to money. The Growth Hub adviser has been instrumental in helping us obtain short-term finance, which should allow us to grow rapidly over the coming months.

Hugo Stride , Company director

Growth Hub Director, Roya Croudace, credits the programme’s success to factors such as knowledge and partnership working.

She said:

We are passionate about supporting businesses to grow and connect, and our success comes from our own innovation, business support delivery model with sector experts and development of strong partner and stakeholder relationships.

The Growth Hub is proactive and provides tailored advice according to what our businesses tell us they need. From funding to improved productivity and from increased turnover to new investors, it might sound too good to be true but our track record speaks for itself.
