Chris Burchell
Head of Enterprise & Innovation
Chris Burchell joined Enterprise M3 LEP in October 2022 as Head of Enterprise & Innovation. He has over 30 years' experience working in the field of international trade, economic development and business support.
After a spell in the City in accountancy he worked as a Commercial Manager for BOC on Surrey Research Park which involved managing international trade contracts in a number of key markets including Asia and the USA.
Chris then took up the role as Senior Manager for the Southeast team at UK Trade & Investment (now Department of International Trade) leading a team of international trade advisers and a customer services and marketing team.
His most recent career has been in economic development management roles at Guildford and Sevenoaks councils. Chris is passionate about supporting sustainable economic growth in the region in a way that is kind to the planet and supports local communities.
Our teams
From 1 April 2024, the responsibility for LEP functions across the Enterprise M3 LEP region has transferred to Hampshire County Council and Surrey County Council.
The Enterprise M3 Board met for the last time in March 2024 and Enterprise M3 LEP is no longer operating as an organisation.

Please note that Enterprise M3 LEP staff have transferred to Hampshire County Council to continue to deliver services and activities in Hampshire, including the Growth Hub, the Careers Hub, work on key business sectors, and trade and investment.
