Growth Hub launch gives businesses guidance and advice

Businesses looking to succeed in the Enterprise M3 area now have access to expert advice and support through a new service funded by the Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP). The Enterprise M3 Growth Hub, launched on 11 November, is an expert advice and resource network which helps businesses achieve results quickly through a personal, tailored service focused on growth. The Enterprise M3 Growth Hub puts into place the LEP’s vision of connecting businesses with the quality support they need to succeed and grow, supporting Enterprise M3’s focus on major and emerging sectors. The Growth Hub will be run by the BE Group, a leading UK supplier of business support services designed to help businesses succeed and grow. Businesses will be able to benefit from a host of general and sector-specific information available through a website and over the phone.

They will have instant access to:

  • An information bank - a place to find business advice and expert tips
  • Key services - a comprehensive database of key business services available locally, nationally and internationally
  • A helpline - telephone advice on any business opportunity or question facing a business
  • Webchat - interactive discussion with on-line advisers

Businesses who demonstrate high innovation and high growth potential can also take advantage of expert face-to-face support from growth specialists who will help develop bespoke growth plans based on the business’s unique circumstances to access new markets and products, find finance and manage staff. Growth results really matter and the expert service will track business progress every step of the way.

The Growth Hub is being funded by the Enterprise M3 LEP, which has put forward £450,000 a year for two years. The Growth Hub is run in a partnership led by the BE Group. The partnership also comprises Aerian (portal developer), Business South (business engagement specialists), SETsquared (the enterprise collaboration of Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Southampton and Surrey universities who support high technology and innovative companies) and Hampshire and Surrey county councils.

Geoff French CBE, Chair of Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “This is an exciting service to support businesses in the Enterprise M3 area to easily access the wealth of advice and knowledge that is available to them for their success. “The Enterprise M3 Growth Hub is a wonderful resource network which helps businesses achieve results quickly. “We are committed to encouraging high growth and innovative businesses, increasing the region’s export activity and creating jobs, and the Growth Hub will go a long way to achieving all those aims.”

Alastair MacColl, CEO at BE Group, said: “Businesses now have a world of information at their fingertips. “Every business can make use of the Growth Hub to get the guidance they need to help them succeed and grow. “They can contact the Growth Hub through our website, on the helpline or using our webchat service. “The business world is a very competitive environment but the Growth Hub will give our region the edge it needs to succeed.”
