Leader of Waverley Borough Council

Educated in Sussex, Julia moved to Farnham in 1997, having lived in London and then locally in Ash Vale for many years. With a career in the FMCG sector for over 20 years working for Proctor & Gamble and Coty Inc. Julia is now self employed, running a Sales, Marketing and Training Consultancy business.

Julia was first elected in 2011 and is a councillor in both Farnham Town Council and Waverley Borough Council where she is Leader of Waverley Borough Council.  During her time at Waverley Borough Council she has held a variety of Portfolios including: Leisure, Culture and Young People; Finance; and, Major Projects before becoming Leader in 2016.

Julia is a board member of The Farnham Maltings and The Sandy Hill Bungalow, a Trustee of Hale Cottage Trust, Governor at Hale School & Sure Start Centre and involved with Farnham Area NHW.

Julia is committed to working with local residents, ensuring future improvements within the community and better local facilities. She is keen to see improved partnership and communication between local authorities and other stakeholders for the wider benefit of local residents.
