Hart, Wokingham, Runnymede, Woking, Rushmoor, Elmbridge, Winchester, Guildford, Basingstoke and Deane, are the Enterprise M3 boroughs and districts that have made the top 50 ‘quality of life’ places in Great Britain.

Halifax’s Quality of Life index aims to quantify where living standards are highest by ranking local performance across a range of indicators covering the labour market, the housing market, the environment, education, health, personal well-being and leisure.

Ranked by local authority area, Hart was the top-placed Enterprise M3 area, coming third on the table. It scored highly on factors including general health, happiness and life satisfaction.

Just six months ago, Basingstoke was named in the top five places in the country for investment in digital technology companies, by Tech Nation.
