Our Growing Enterprise Fund, which has a total value of £21.7m, is available to help support economic growth by addressing the infrastructure and site constraints that may be impeding development.
The Growing Enterprise Fund has been established by Enterprise M3, the Local Enterprise Partnership for the M3 corridor, using funds awarded to it by the Government’s Growing Places Fund. The purpose of the fund is to kick start infrastructure and other projects that will drive economic growth in the mid and north Hampshire and south west Surrey areas, helping to create housing and jobs for local people.
Projects that are awarded a loan need to deliver early, repay quickly and have a direct impact on jobs and housing in the Enterprise M3 LEP area, as well as helping to deliver the Enterprise M3 LEP Business Plan. It is also important that the Fund is sustainable and that funding will be recycled so that the money can be used again for future projects.
The Growing Enterprise Fund awards loans only to capital projects that deliver benefits for the Enterprise M3 area. A map of the area can be found on the right. There is no absolute minimum limit on the size of the loan, although we would expect the large majority to be in excess of £250,000. Special consideration will be given to smaller projects that deliver considerable outputs or other benefits.
The fund was re-opened for applications in October 2016 and will remain open until all available funds have been allocated or until the end of 2018, whichever is sooner. We expect to have over £10 million available for allocation during this period, please contact Enterprise M3 for the latest position.
