About Enterprise M3

ENTERPRISE M3 LEP drives the economic growth of the area by working with businesses, key delivery partners and central government. We translate and signpost opportunities for business and other partners including funding. We bring people, business, public and not-for-profit sectors together and share our insights and data. We do all this to make Enterprise M3 ‘the’ place to do business.

European Management Group

The Enterprise M3 European Management Group (EMG) will supervise the development and administration of the LEP’s European Structural and Investment Funding Programme (ESIF).

The Enterprise M3 European Management Group (EMG) became formal on 8 March 2016. EMG is the Enterprise M3 LEP subcommittee of the national Programme Monitoring Committee (PMC), supervising the development and implementation of the LEP’s ESIF Programme covering ERDF, ESF and EAFRD funding. EMG is not a decision-making body, but it provides recommendations on strategic fit to the Managing Authorities for ESIF.

The Group includes representatives from across the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors, including the environmental and rural sectors, trade unions, and higher and further education, in line with the EU terms of reference for the subcommittee. The Membership of the EMG is for an initial three-year term, and will be reviewed in 2017 to ensure that it remains representative and reflects changing priorities. EMG meets quarterly to review the pipeline of projects for the three EU funds.

The LEP appointed a Chair for the interim EMG and the new chair will be elected in September 2016.
