Barney is Director at Hays Human Resources, the recruiting experts, leading a team of HR consultants across the UK.

Barney also has operational responsibility for Hays offices across the South East of England, with responsibility for teams recruiting experts in over 20 professions, from accountancy and finance to construction, technology, procurement, marketing and education. Across these professional functions, Hays has teams dedicated to public services, not-for-profit and executive recruitment.

He is an active partner to the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), and attends and presents at business leadership events on various business subjects including skills, labour market trends and talent retention and attraction.

Barney joined Hays in 1993 as a business graduate and has spent his early career recruiting for blue-chip organisations and SMEs.  He lives in Guildford and is a member of the Guildford Symphony Orchestra.
