Businesses and organisations in East Hampshire have an incredible track record on taking action to reduce carbon emissions, with the support available through Enterprise M3 helping to underpin the transition to net zero.

In an address at COP26 East Hampshire event, MP Andrew Griffith, the UK's Net Zero Business Champion, said it was encouraging to see businesses of all sizes putting sustainability 'front and centre' in their operations and those actions would drive lasting change.

And he said through Enterprise M3 LEP businesses had a fantastic source of support to underpin the transition to a low carbon economy, following the launch of the Net Zero Business Support Service.

Launched in September, the service is offered to businesses engaging with EM3 Growth Hub. Free 30-minute one-to-one advice sessions with EM3’s Net Zero Sector Specialist are available providing businesses with information on sustainability and decarbonisation along with signposting to organisations who can carry out carbon audits. The guidance is available to businesses from any sector and is tailored to individual needs.

Speaking at the event, Jennie Pell, Enterprise M3 Clean Growth Specialist, said: “This is a big transition and we want to make sure businesses in the EM3 area reap the benefits of this opportunity.

“We know each business is different. Know your business - know where to act, how to act and know what and where support is available.

“The LEP is business focused, but we are net-zero focused and we want to do everything to help businesses to support the move over.”
