Transport Strategy launch

To mark the launch of its draft transport strategy for consultation, Transport for the South East is holding a number of events in the Enterprise M3 area.

EM3 Chief Executive, Kathy Slack, will be joining a panel discussion at a one-day conference at Farnborough International, on Thursday, 10 October 2019.

The free event at ETPS Road, Farnborough, Hampshire, GU14 6FD, will offer an opportunity to hear about the strategic vision for the South East's transport network - how it will shape investment priorities and decision-making to deliver sustainable economic growth, improve quality of life and support the journey to a zero-carbon future.

The programme is being finalised and attendance is by invitation - please reply to Dima.Boulos@Highways-uk.com if you would like to put your name forward for a place. View the programme here.

A further event on 17 October is aimed at key decision makers within our constituent, district and borough & neighbouring authorities, MPs, LEP members & officers, key business representatives, operators and representational user groups. The event runs from 13.30pm to 4pm at The WWF Living Planet Centre, Rufford House, Brewery Road, Woking, GU21 4LL.

Spaces are limited and attendance is by invitation only. Register your interest here. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/tfse-transport-strategy-regional-event-surrey-tickets-63566350666

Each event will be followed by a drop-in information session, from 4.30pm to 6pm. These sessions are open to all, and places at the informal session can be booked by emailing tfse@eastsussex.gov.uk

Transport for the South East was established as a shadow sub-national transport body (STB) in June 2017. Since then, we have emerged as a powerful and effective partnership bringing together 16 local transport authorities, five local enterprise partnerships and other stakeholders including protected landscapes, transport operators, district and borough authorities and national agencies to speak with one voice on the region’s strategic transport needs.
